Georgina Bosworth
I’m Georgina Bosworth aka Mumma G. Midwifery chose me and I’m so glad I didn’t resist my true calling. Women, their babies, and families have been the focus of four decades of my practice as a midwife.
I passionately support a woman’s right to bodily autonomy. My midwifery care is holistic and continuous in nature, grounded in an understanding of the social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychological, and physical experiences of women.
These days I’m an endorsed midwife in private practice and an IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant). This means I have the privilege of providing continuity of midwifery care for women who want to employ their own midwife for pregnancy, labour, birth, and postpartum care, often with an intent to birth at home. If you choose an in-hospital birth or your journey takes you unexpectedly to a hospital setting, I’ll continue to be your support and advocate.
I live on a farm with my husband, Donal. My three daughters are now mothers themselves. They regularly say, “Everyone deserves a Mumma G”. The arrival of twin sons completed my family with all five of my children born in five years. I have been beyond blessed to be present at each of my six grandbabies’ births. The last one born at home and yet another on the way. Long distance running is a meditative practice of endurance which protects my mental and physical well-being. My deep Christian faith holds me spiritually while I hold others.
Karlee Thompson
Hi there! I’m Karlee, I am a mother to 4 wild young home-schooled children and wife to a wonderful and supportive man. We live in a beautiful and breezy home, where the noise flow is loud and constant!
I am occupational therapy trained, I have done two qualifications in babywearing, a placenta encapsulation specialist & post partum doula, birth doula and maternity advocate. I have been supporting families in our community in both paid and volunteer capacity for the last 8 years.
I have recently attended the spinning babies workshop, and my passion for bodywork and balance has been reignited. I look forward to integrating this knowledge into my practice.
I support women through their transformative journey into motherhood, by providing heart-centred and deeply connected care. I love to embrace a “back to basics” approach, so that women can birth using the instinctual knowledge their bodies and their babies poses.
Vera Skough - Mother Birth Postpartum
Hi, my name is Vera.Having always viewed birth as a significant and sacred time, I envisioned my own pregnancy and birth as such, too. But when my own experience in pregnancy, birth and postpartum honoured none of my own beliefs, it is what truly ignited the fire in my belly. Starting at the birth center, given a Gestational Diabetes diagnosis and declared high risk, induced at 38 weeks, a long list of interventions, and left with deep emotional and physical scars after an instrumental birth. I journeyed into matrescence with sorrow and regret. What followed was a time of storytelling, listening, understanding, healing and deep unlearning. That fire had been ignited, I knew I had found my passion and my 'Why'.Mother Birth started as placenta encapsulation and art, quickly evolving to so much more. Today, I care for women with gratitude and reverence, offering understanding and unconditional support throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I still offer placenta encapsulation and art. I also run the hypnobirthing immersion Sacred Birth Rising with Kelly Nicolson regularly, borth in a private and in a group setting. I facilitate Mother Blessings and Placenta Burials. And ofcourse, I support women in person during pregnancy, birth and postpartum, and I am honoured to do so. While mainly supporting births at home, I support your divine birth, wherever you choose to birth.
Brienne Vander Motte
I’m Brienne, a Scottish-Belgian mum who moved to Australia in 2017. I’ve always been fascinated by pregnancy and birth for as long as I can remember. I would shove stuffed animals up my top as a toddler to simulate a pregnant belly, and my family have always said I was destined to work in birth in some capacity.
After my first daughter’s birth in March 2020 - an induction that led to a C-section - my passion for birth ramped up, and I would only ever talk about pregnancy and birth. After almost a year of this, my husband told me it was about time I followed this passion, and so I did and became a doula! I have since achieved a freebirth VBAC with the birth of my second daughter.
I cater to all types of birth, be it vaginal, C-section, VBAC, hospital birth or home birth. I tailor a unique care plan for each mum I accompany, and take a special interest in rediscovering the lost and forgotten spiritual (and cultural) practices linked to birth, and how these can be interwoven with our modern view of birth. I also offer a range of other services and products including stand alone birth planning, mothers blessings, birth affirmation cards and more.
Kim Graham
I am a trained yoga instructor and teach both restorative and vinyasa yoga in classes and as one on one services. I am a doula and birthworker who services Townsville and surrounding areas, for holistic pregnancy birth and postpartum support.
My passion is empowering women to trust their bodies and trust themselves. To stand in their absolute power and to know themselves wholly mind, body and soul. Over the last three years I have stepped into my own body and claimed my power. Standing true in myself and honouring the beauty that is our vessels. Through the power or yoga and meditation I hope to encourage women to birth in their power.
Carolyn Cornell
My name is Carolyn. In my 10 year career as a midwife and childbirth educator, I have cared for many women, and witnessed all types of births. My passion is in providing women and their partners the opportunity to explore pregnancy and birth as a natural life experience, and achieve their most positive, empowered birth.
I offer group classes as well as private sessions, and can facilitate the latter in your own home if this is your preference. My group classes are run monthly, on two consecutive Saturdays/Sundays, comprising on two, 6-hour sessions.

Plus the occasional feminist rant.
My offerings include; VBAC mentoring (in both groups and individual settings), birth doula services, birth planning sessions and more.
Kelly Nicolson
Hello there! I’m Kelly. I am a Mumma of two free-spirited souls who keep me busy. Wife to an amazing husband that keeps me grounded! We home school and live life fully, mostly barefoot dancing in and around the garden and kitchen table.
I am a Naturopath and completed my doula training after finding myself attending the births of many of my beautiful clients. I have had a c-section and a VBAC. My birth experiences have profoundly shaped me as a mother, wife, and woman. Birth is so powerful, and I strongly believe the experience can make or break families.
I have been teaching hypnobirthing and childbirth education classes within the local community for the last 6 years and my passion is supporting women mind, body, and soul. I am the creator of Sacred Birth Rising, Transformative Hypnobirthing for Empowered Couples, which is a unique and comprehensive approach to Childbirth Education that really pushes couples to grow together during the raw and intimate challenges of birth into parenthood. I have completed further training in Optimal Maternal Positioning and Childbirth Physiology with Rachel Reed.
Birth is a rite of passage and my role as a doula is to support you and your partner on that transformational journey so you can thrive together as a family. I will meet you where you are at and support any kind of birth that you deeply desire.
