We hold the mother while she holds her baby
Let's Talk Birth was founded in 2020 by Karlee Thompson. Over the year the business has evolved. It has brought birth workers and women together in comunitity.
Mumma G has worked closely with Let's Talk Birth until at last there was a natural merging of the brands.
While planning the homebirth and fourth trimester of her second baby Clare felt there were unmet needs in our Townsville Community for products to support mothers. With her intuitive understanding of what an optimal matrescence would look and feel like she was able to bring the energy required to move Let's Talk Birth and Mumma G Midwifery into the next stage of their journey together.
Clare Bosworth
Hi! I’m Clare, Mumma G’s youngest daughter and middle child. I live in Townsville with my husband, Peter and our daughters Harriet Iris (4yrs) and Edwina Grae (18mths).
I love nothing more than hiking and camping with my family. Most recently we did the Savannah Way & Northern Territory and K’gari.
I had a wonderful empowering birth at the Townsville Birth Centre in 2019 with Harriet but felt something wasn’t quite right. In September 2022 I birthed Eddie at home after a quick 3 hour labour. She was born gazing at the stars (OP) and it was the most incredible experience.
I breastfeed Harriet right through my pregnancy. Edwina was born on my 1,001st day breastfeeding (my accountant brain loves the symmetry) and have tandem fed both girls for 6 months until Harriet declared "her legs were long enough" and she never fed again. Tandem feeding is one of the hardest things I've ever accomplished.
I’m a Financial Accountant (CA) by trade started LTB as a passion project on maternity leave. I have a real passion for all things breastfeeding & birthy business and have found fulfillment in helping Mum with her business and social media platforms.
Karlee Thompson
Hi there! I’m Karlee, I am a mother to 4 wild young home-schooled children and wife to a wonderful and supportive man. We live in a beautiful and breezy home, where the noise flow is loud and constant!
I am occupational therapy trained, I have done two qualifications in babywearing, a placenta encapsulation specialist & post partum doula, birth doula and maternity advocate. I have been supporting families in our community in both paid and volunteer capacity for the last 8 years.
I have recently attended the spinning babies workshop, and my passion for bodywork and balance has been reignited. I look forward to integrating this knowledge into my practice.
I support women through their transformative journey into motherhood, by providing heart-centred and deeply connected care. I love to embrace a “back to basics” approach, so that women can birth using the instinctual knowledge their bodies and their babies poses.
Georgina Bosworth
I’m Georgina Bosworth aka Mumma G.
Midwifery chose me and I’m so glad I didn’t resist my true calling. Women, their babies, and families have been the focus of four decades of my practice as a midwife.
I passionately support a woman’s right to bodily autonomy. My midwifery care is holistic and continuous in nature, grounded in an understanding of the social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychological, and physical experiences of women.
These days I’m an endorsed midwife in private practice and an IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant). This means I have the privilege of providing continuity of midwifery care for women who want to employ their own midwife for pregnancy, labour, birth, and postpartum care, often with an intent to birth at home. If you choose an in-hospital birth or your journey takes you unexpectedly to a hospital setting, I’ll continue to be your support and advocate.
I live on a farm with my husband, Donal. My three daughters are now mothers themselves. They regularly say, “Everyone deserves a Mumma G”. The arrival of twin sons completed my family with all five of my children born in five years. I have been beyond blessed to be present at each of my six grandbabies’ births. The last one born at home and yet another on the way. Long distance running is a meditative practice of endurance which protects my mental and physical well-being. My deep Christian faith holds me spiritually while I hold others.
