We hold the mother while
she holds her baby
Let's Talk Birth has been bringing birth workers and women together in community across the North Queensland since 2020.
The Let's Talk Birth Story
Let's Talk Birth was founded in 2020 by Karlee Thompson, and over the years the business has grown and evolved. Mumma G Midwifery worked closely alongside Let's Talk Birth, and in time a natural merging of the two brands followed.
Clare, who joined as business manager, brought her own lived experience to the role. While planning the homebirth and fourth trimester of her second baby, she recognised unmet needs in the Townsville community — particularly around products to support mothers through matrescence. With an intuitive understanding of what that transition could look and feel like at its best, she brought the energy and vision to carry Let's Talk Birth and Mumma G Midwifery into their next chapter together.

Meet the team
Clare Bosworth
BUSINESS MANAGER
Hi, I'm Clare
Mum of three girls, founder of Let’s Talk Birth, and someone deeply passionate about creating the kind of space I wish existed for women navigating motherhood.
Let’s Talk Birth grew from a simple idea: that support should feel accessible, practical, and human. What started as a small retail offering alongside my work in women’s health quickly became something much bigger. This is now a place where women can shop, ask questions, sit on the couch, feed their baby, find reassurance, and leave feeling a little lighter than when they arrived.
As a mum myself, I know motherhood isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s beautiful, messy, emotional, funny, exhausting, transformative… often all before lunch. And that’s exactly why Let’s Talk Birth has evolved into more than a boutique. We’re building a modern motherhood space that feels bold, supportive, considered, and genuinely useful.
From thoughtfully curated products and practical essentials to education, support, and real conversations, everything here is chosen with intention.
Because while we might help you find the right breast pump, baby carrier, or postpartum essential… what I really hope you leave with is the feeling that you’re not doing this alone.
Welcome to our village.

Georgina Bosworth
PRIVATE PRACTICE MIDWIFE & IBCLC
I’m Georgina Bosworth aka Mumma G. Midwifery chose me and I’m so glad I didn’t resist my true calling. Women, their babies, and families have been the focus of four decades of my practice as a midwife.
I passionately support a woman’s right to bodily autonomy. My midwifery care is holistic and continuous in nature, grounded in an understanding of the social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, psychological, and physical experiences of women.
These days I’m an endorsed midwife in private practice and an IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant). This means I have the privilege of providing continuity of midwifery care for women who want to employ their own midwife for pregnancy, labour, birth, and postpartum care, often with an intent to birth at home. If you choose an in-hospital birth or your journey takes you unexpectedly to a hospital setting, I’ll continue to be your support and advocate.
I live on a farm with my husband, Donal. My three daughters are now mothers themselves. They regularly say, “Everyone deserves a Mumma G”. The arrival of twin sons completed my family with all five of my children born in five years. I have been beyond blessed to be present at each of my six grandbabies’ births. The last one born at home and yet another on the way. Long distance running is a meditative practice of endurance which protects my mental and physical well-being. My deep Christian faith holds me spiritually while I hold others.
